I really dislike that so much content is video focused now. I certainly believe it has its place and allegedly it's what the people want, but I know there must be a good amount of people who feel similarly to us and I can't help but feel the algorithm/powers that be are pushing video content bc it demands more attention. It doesn't matter if it's a good user experience, it matters that you're watching. If you're compelled to watch vs skimming and realizing it's not something you're interested in to begin with the app wins. So they turn around and tell us video content is all people want. Ugh, it's such a dispair inducing cycle. But anyway, what do I know?! I spent hours of my Thursday engaged with video content, haha! Thanks for reading and commenting!
I am with you. I really am not a video content consumer for all the reasons you listed.
