I love this. I recently “shopped my shelf” and picked out some backlist titles to read this summer and here’s a few…Happy Hour, Musical Chairs, The Reckless Oath we Made and Circe. I still think about I Could Live Here Forever. I’m currently reading Salty by Kate Meyer’s. I loved her debut Excavations and really enjoying this one as well.
OK, I really, really liked Reckless Oath We Made! I don't think that book got nearly the attention it deserved. I think the author's first book being super buzzy led to a sophomore slump situation, not the fault of the book itself. I will be so interested to hear what you think!
And not nearly enough people have experienced I Could Live Here Forever. I'm surprised it didn't get more attention.
I loved I Could Live Here Forever! I don't feel it got as much attention as it deserved. I've only read one Stephen King in my time, may need to pick up The Stand next. And thanks for that Alfredo recipe, it sounds great! Saved it in my recipe Pinterest 🙂
That's the one I read! I liked it about except for the romance. I didn't buy it... but loved all the time travel aspects and how Jake asked the questions we ass readers were wondering, too
Girst mill road sounds really good! I read The Stand during covid (yes lol) but it felt too long for me, I ended up not caring 🤣 I loved Stella Fortuna, such a unique premise!
“Summer reading guide golden age” 🤣🙌 love that so much! What a time!!
And I e been thinking about reading The Stand this summer so I think this just gave me the push to do it!! Love an under-the-radar reading list— thank you!!
I totally agree that summer if for The Stand. As a preteen/teen, I read it every year when it starts in the story June 13 (my memory may be off). I'm contemplating a reread this summer but I did just reread it in the last few years.
I actually forgot about the specific date! Thanks for reminding me! This really makes me want to reread it starting then. It has been quite a few years since I have read...

I can't believe I Couldn't Live Here Forever didn't get more attention! Glad you appreciated it as well!
The Stand is SK's best, I think! What did you read? 11/22/63? That's my other favorite.

Don't worry, I spent the pandemic reading about pandemics as well, it's a… unique coping mechanism 😜
Ok, because I also read Station Eleven 😂😂😂

The Stand’s story begins on 6/13 if you enjoy a well timed read 😉 It really is perfect for a long summer read!

Ooooo both your current reads sound super interesting! And I hadn't seen either of them before!
